Akkasah, the Photography Archive at New York University Abu Dhabi, is home to an extensive archive of the photographic heritage of the Middle East and North Africa.

New York University Abu Dhabi's Library of Arabic Literature makes available Arabic editions and English translations of significant works of Arabic literature, with an emphasis on the seventh to nineteenth centuries. The Library of Arabic Literature includes texts from the pre-Islamic era to the cusp of the modern period, and encompasses a wide range of genres, including poetry, poetics, fiction, religion, philosophy, law, science, travel writing, history, and historiography.

NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Arabian NGO Alwaleed Philanthropies (AP) to cooperate in developing the Alwaleed Cultural Network.

This talk reveals the story of these vessels' journey from Beirut to the British Museum in London, through their recovery, conservation, and exhibition phases. And it underscores the pivotal role of international collaboration, training, and outreach in heritage conservation.

And what mechanisms facilitated the transportation of substantial goods from ancient Abu Dhabi shores to major civilizations like Mesopotamia (Sumer) and the Indus (Meluhha)? A pivotal highlight is the exploration of early bronze, humanity's first composite artificial material. Interestingly, long before the advent of oil, the UAE marked its presence as a global exporter of a crucial resource: copper.
